A DOT physical is the medical exam the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requires for commercial drivers. It confirms you are medically fit to operate a commercial vehicle safely.
If you manage diabetes, high blood pressure or a heart condition, bring your most recent readings or records. It often prevents a second visit.

No. Walk-ins are welcome Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at LLB Medical Clinic at Peppertree. Saturday visits from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM are by appointment. Booking ahead is still the fastest way to be seen.
Bring your photo ID or driver’s license, a list of your current medications, and your glasses, contacts or hearing aids if you use them. If you manage a chronic condition, bring recent readings or a letter from your specialist. If you use a CPAP, bring your compliance report.
Most certificates are valid for 24 months. If you manage a condition that needs monitoring, such as high blood pressure, the examiner may issue a certificate for a shorter period, often 3 or 12 months.
You will leave knowing exactly why and what needs to change. Often it is a blood pressure reading or a missing specialist letter, both of which can be resolved and rechecked. Dr. Ricketts will explain your options and what a recheck involves.
