Direct Primary Care, often shortened to DPC, is a healthcare model that removes insurance from the exam room. Instead of billing your insurance for each visit, you pay a simple monthly membership directly to the clinic, and that membership covers most of your primary care.
The practical difference is time. Because we are not billing insurance per visit, we are not counting minutes. Visits run as long as they need to, appointments are usually same-day or next-day, and you can text or call your provider directly instead of waiting on a callback.
