Some wounds heal on their own and some do not, and the difference is often circulation, diabetes or infection rather than the wound itself. A wound that has not improved in two weeks needs looking at properly.
If you have diabetes, a foot wound is never minor. Have it looked at early rather than waiting to see.
Wounds needing repeat dressing changes are a poor fit for the emergency room and a long drive is a poor fit for anyone healing. We are on SE 5th Street at Peppertree, and for patients who cannot travel we may be able to arrange a house call.

Have it seen if it is deep, will not stop bleeding, was caused by something dirty or rusty, shows signs of infection, or has not improved in about two weeks. If you have diabetes, have any foot wound looked at early.
Yes. For wounds needing regular care we will set up a schedule and monitor healing, so you are not managing it alone or guessing.

Yes. Surgical wound checks and dressing changes after discharge are part of our post-hospital follow-up care.
That is exactly when to come in. Non-healing usually points to circulation, blood sugar or infection, and identifying which one is the whole point of the assessment.
